Seven people, one hollow
Fernhollow started in 2021 with two people and a game about a snail who delivers the mail. We’re a few more people now, and the snail is still around.
Started Fernhollow after a decade making other people’s games.
Owns the co-op netcode and most of the bugs, by his count.
Paints every lantern by hand before it becomes a model.
Writes the puzzles, then makes them harder.
Records the city at night for Lampwright’s soundscape.
Keeps the schedule honest and the four-day week intact.
Runs playtests and reads every bug report.
We’re hiring a gameplay programmer.
Everyone here is fictional, made up for this concept site.
Small team, long runway
We fund our games with what our last game earned and a small amount of outside funding, so we can take the time a game needs.
- Four-day weeks, no crunch, ever
- Players see the game early through open playtests
- Accessibility built in from the first prototype
- Everyone gets credited, by name, in every game
